Background:
We are seeking a marketing and communications intern to join our team for a 9-month internship. As a M/Comms intern, your key assignment will be to drive engagement and grow our audience across all social media platforms. This involves assisting in writing communications including newsletters, social media, web content, updating media list and developing new ideas for content creation. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, content creation and social media management and contribute to the team. This internship will provide direct exposure to ARI’s work in sustainability and ESG advisory.

The main duties that the M/Comms intern will be expected to carry out are:
• Grow audience to 1000+ across all social media platforms
• Research consumer trends and opinions to inform marketing strategy
• Assist in writing communications including, newsletters, social media, web content and campaigns
• Research/produce collateral materials as directed
• Updating media contact lists
• Research and develop new ideas for Web/social media content

Technical/Functional Competencies:
• Proficient using multi-social posting programs such as Hootsuite and HubSpot
• Strong computer skills using Canva
• General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and internet ranking for web content
• Relevant experience determining a target audience and how to cater unique marketing campaigns to capture their attention
• Strong understanding of marketing strategy and how to effortlessly utilize these concepts throughout various forms of outreach
• Excellent interpersonal skills: being able to listen and collaborate, being able to work independently, be proactive and take initiative.

Education & Qualification required:
A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field (Serving NYSC Members are encouraged to apply)
